One of the things we quickly find when we are out on the sea sites looking after our salmon is that we are not alone.
We work in a harsh and tough environment but we see wildlife in abundance, from the gulls that visit us daily, to herons and magnificent sea eagles in the air, seals, dolphins and whales in the water.
We keep wildlife logs at all our land stations which are regularly updated to give us an ongoing record of the numbers of our neighbours and the frequency of their visits. To show you more, here are just a few short clips from around our sea sites in Sutherland and the Outer Hebrides. Filming wildlife can be extraordinarily difficult. Some of these shots have been taken in poor light and heavy rain from a small boat in changing sea condition but we think you’ll get the idea.
